Mike Murphy is a national educational coach, facilitator, author, and consultant, currently living in Richardson, Texas. He draws from 39 years of educational experience in urban, suburban, and rural school district settings as he trains and works with teachers, teacher leaders, school leaders, and district leaders across North America. Much of Mike’s work supports school and district leaders in planning and implementing large-scale improvement initiatives, visioning, understanding change and its effect on people, evaluating school improvement progress, designing exceptional professional learning, and facilitating learning in how to engage people in productive, relationship-rich, results-based conversations. Since 2009, as the founder of Success Systems and a senior consultant with Learning Forward, he has collaborated with varieties of school leaders in 17 states and two Canadian provinces and has presented in many state, national, and international symposia and conferences. He and Carol Ann Tomlinson are the co-authors of Leading for Differentiation: Growing Teachers who Grow Kids.
Chris Hodge is best described as passionate and obsessed. Especially when it comes to his customers. During his five years as a restaurateur he discovered putting your customers’ needs front and center leads to real growth and innovation. Chris created experiences and processes that are still leading edge in that industry today. Realizing the need for more, he returned to school earning a degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison kicking-off his next learning frontier into technology. For the past five years Chris has focused his passion and obsession into the financial world as a Product Manager and Innovation Leader at Intuit; the makers of TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mint. Chris has led numerous product teams at Intuit creating innovations that range from simplifying tax preparation, to digital coaching apps for start-ups. Recently, Chris has grown into a leader in design thinking practices because of his bold passion and customer obsession. Because of this he has expanded his role at Intuit. Chris is taking on the mission to teach others across varied industries how to utilize design thinking to create meaningful innovations and value for their customers.
